Smash Mob has been asked to mix 3 never before heard songs by Australian indy bands recorded for an early 1990's album of TV and Movie show theme songs (Telemaniacs - Channel Surfing). One of those is the theme song to the 1960's TV show Petticoat Junction. Performed by Gods Cowboys whose quick-witted comic quick delivery drew comparisons to the Marx Brothers. This track has the bittersweet distinction of being heard for the first time in conjunction with the reuniting of the beloved comic band for a fundraiser. All proceeds from the Gods Cowboys reuniting show are being donated to the family of John Knowles (Billy in Gods Cowboys). John's wife Ronelle has malignant cancer that is incurable, meaning lot's of uncertainty up ahead. We are donating the funds so they and their 4 children (aged 8 to 13) can have some resources to find time to create some joy together.
